SOUTH YARMOUTH - Gene was born in Lynn, MA, on Sept. 11, 1922 to Helen and Francis Ladziata. She attended Classical High School and Chandler. She worked briefly at General Electric in Lynn before enlisting in the Navy and leaving with the rank of Chief.In 1947, she married Clarence J.
