MASHPEE - Evelyn Ruby (Clarke) Field was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Brockton, to Mason E. and Agnes (Littlefield) Clarke, delivered by her grandfather, George Henry Littlefield. Evelyn passed away peacefully on Jan. 3, 2017.She graduated from Brockton High School and Katherine Gibbs in Boston l. She met her husband, Stanley Field, when she became his secretary at the New York New Haven and Hartford Railroad and a romance blossomed.
