WEST YARMOUTH - Michael Francis Ozimek was born in Worcester, Mass., on July 26, 1947, to Bella and Thaddeus Ozimek in Worcester. He attended Auburn High School, Cape Cod Community College, and UMass Amherst. In 1967, Michael moved to Cape Cod. He worked for many years as a projectionist at the Center Theatre in Hyannis, where he met Brenda Joyce Carvalho, the 19-year-old counter clerk who would spend the next 48 years as Michael's partner, his best friend, and eventually his wife.
